Iowa’s expert collectibles "picker", Mike Wolfe, now has his own lottery game. Iowa Lottery officials, along with Lieutenant Governor Kim Reynolds, and Shawna Lode, with Iowa Department of Tourism, presented the "Mike's Picks" $5.00 scratch off ticket on Friday inside the vault at the State Historical Building.
Iowa lottery CEO, Terry Rich, says the new scratch game highlights travel opportunities and some of Iowa’s best products. He says it also helps with increasing Iowa tourism.
Besides a chance to win up to $50,000 in cash, Wolfe he says you can take non-winning scratch tickets to the Iowa lottery website to win trips and prizes. Wolfe says he’s excited to showcase Iowa this way.
“This is incredible. I can scratch this off my bucket list now. Literally! We got approached some time ago, and we started talking about it, and all of a sudden it made sense and we put it together. I wanted to incorporate products from Iowa as well.”
Other prizes include trips to Le Claire, Iowa with a riverboat tour, a trip to Nashville and the Grand Ole' Opry, and tote bags filled with some of Mike's favorite products from around Iowa.
