Des Moines Home Invasion

An armed home invasion overnight has police looking for several suspects.

Des Moines Police Sgt. Jason Halifax says the homeowner, Robert Combs, and his 15-yearold son were taken by surprise in their home at 2715 Indianapolis just after 2 a.m. Friday.

Halifax said, "They indicated that four masked individuals came into the house. At least two of them were armed, one with a handgun and one with a shotgun."

The 15 year old victim told police he may have recognized a couple of the suspects, according to Halifax, "One of the victims does believe he knows the identities of at least three of the suspects, indicating that they were people he used to hang out with or run with."

The men took cash and video games and assaulted the victims before they fled.
